Team Challenge Dec. Jan. Feb

NEW TEAM CHALLENGE!

When: December, January, February

Starts: December 1st

Ends February 28th, 2011

Theme: “Warmth in your Heart”

Details: Since the next three months are still cooler months and end around Valentines day your challenge is to create something warm, (should be easy for us lol) and if you like, something that has to deal with Valentine’s day or love in general. It could even be something that is just plain cute! What warms your heart? What comes to mind with you think “Warmth in your heart”? The idea is to be creative in your own way. Interpret the challenge as you will and let your hands start creating!

Note: Item must be new and listed between Dec 1st and Feb 28th.

Please send the link to your entry to FreemanCraftsFabrics through convo on Etsy! Thanks!

Courage for Kristi Charity Event Dec, Jan, Feb

Our next Charity event has officially begun! From December, January, and February we will be sponsoring http://www.etsy.com/shop/CourageForKristi  .

The idea is to donate an item to sell in their shop.

The background story is that Kristi was a mom of three young girls. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away few MONTHS later in the summer of 2009. Her three young girls are NOW 18 months, 5 years and 7 years old. If you do the math the baby was less than 6 months old when her mom passed.

Normally her shop is open only for the month of October since it is breast cancer awareness month but she is keeping it opens at least long enough for us to help. Her college friend is the one who runs the shop and is trying to raise money for Kristi’s daughter’s college funds.

In order to donate an item just contact the shop and supply pictures and description of the item.

I hope you find this to be a good cause just as much as I have.

I want to thank AnythingCrochet for finding this shop for us to help.

Invites to the New Team Home Page

Ok so I've sent everyone an invite to the new team page. If you accidentally rejected due to the buttons looking weird you will have to search for our team and then apply. This was Etsy's solution to those who received messed up invites. Some of you it shows me I am still waiting for you to accept the invite I sent. If you are having issues because you do not see an invite please search our team and apply. If that does not work let me know and I'll get Etsy Admin on it to fix.

Bare with me as we get this taken care of.

Holiday Boot Camp Week 5

Week 5 Boot Camp Instructions:

1) Check out 7 Lessons from Adam Braun: Last week I heard Adam Braun, the founder of Pencils of Promise, speak at The Feast Conference, (watch the full video here http://www.livestream.com/alldaybuffet/video?clipId=pla_d7a3a5f6-623b-4034-9749-80d6abdd4f41  ). I was so inspired by his story and hear his 7 key life lessons, I've printed them out and have them on my desk as a daily reminder. Read them, and print them out if you like! (The subject line of this email will make sense if you do!) http://www.etsy.com/storque/media/bunker/2010/10/7_Lessons.jpg?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Check+out+7+Lessons+from+Adam+Braun&utm_content=etsy_success_102110&utm_campaign=etsy_success_102110

2) Read Etsy's Guide to Photography:  http://www.etsy.com/storque/how-to/etsys-guide-to-photography-10979/

3) Shoot Photos of Your New Work: So by now you should know what you're selling for the holidays and how you'll present it, in writing, to your online audience. The next important step is to capture the item with photos. Today I've published a guide to help you find the resources you need to improve your photo skills. Your task is to study up and shoot some new photos for your shop!

4) Check in with your Boot Camp Buddy (on your own)

5) Post in the Boot Camp forum thread: Your last task is to connect in the Etsy forum thread for this week. Let us know how you are doing and check out the progress of another seller. Let's give support for those who need it and share our own insights from the boot camp exercises. http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6660211

Holiday Boot Camp Week 4

To do list for Week 4:

1) Read this week's Boot Camp article: Etsy buyers expect more when they come to Etsy looking for gifts. You know that feeling of pride when you've found something special for a loved one? How fun it is when you can tell a story about that gift? http://www.etsy.com/storque/how-to/how-to-sell-your-story-with-johnny-b-truant-10899/

2) Etsy Success Keyword Exercise: Create three lists of keywords. The first list will describe your buyer's attributes; if your buyer was the lead character in a play, what keywords would you attribute to that character? The second list should describe your style (have a peek at the Tag-O-Rama Etsy Blog Post for help with this one!). Your last list should describe your values as an artist and as a business owner. Feeling stuck? Have a closer look at the example exercise above.

3) Update Your Profile: I'm not going to butter this task up, it's a tough one. Get into that Etsy Profile and tell your story. You don't have to write a memoir, even a snippet from your daily life can be an interesting read. Make sure to have your Boot Camp buddy give you feedback and check for spelling errors!

http://www.etsy.com/public_profile.phputm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Update+Your+Profile&utm_content=etsy_success_101410&utm_campaign=etsy_success_101410
When you've updated your public profile, let everyone know in this forum thread so we can have a peek!

4) Check in with your Boot Camp Buddy (On your Own)

5) Post in the Boot Camp forum thread: http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6653855

2) Fill in the Blank Exercise: " I'm sure you have something on your Etsy shop to do list that you've been putting off. 3) Six Success Secrets Exercise: "I asked creative life coach Michelle Ward to share six success secrets with us. Holiday Boot Camp Week 2

This weeks To-Do List:

1) Read this week's Boot Camp article: http://www.etsy.com/storque/how-to/etsy-success-merchandising-for-the-holidays-10652/

2) Make a list of your most popular items:

Make a List, Check It Twice

Make a list of your top items. If you're new to Etsy, include the items in your shop that have the most views and hearts. No items in your shop yet? Make a list of the items your friends and family react to the most. What do these items have in common? Is it the color, price point, style of photography?

Advanced task: Head over to your Web Analytics reports. What items in your shop have the most page views and lowest bounce rates? : http://www.etsy.com/storque/how-to/etsy-success-web-analytics-tips-9200/

3) Brainstorm new work you'll offer this season:

Product Brainstorming

I challenge you to ponder your buyer, this season's trends and/or holiday must-haves. Use this information to brainstorm ideas for a new product (or line of products). Or think about what you already create that you can add more of. This new Etsy blog post will help get you : http://www.etsy.com/storque/how-to/etsy-success-merchandising-for-the-holidays-10652/

4) Find your Boot Camp buddy:

Reach out to another Holiday Boot Camper. Send a convo to a seller whose shop catches your eye and ask them to be your Boot Camp partner. Each week, check in to see how you are doing and how you might push each other along. I have a feeling some of you might put this off, so I encourage you to do it right this second!

Find your boot camp buddy in:

...this week's Holiday Boot Camp forum thread: http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6640708

...on Twitter by searching #EtsyHolidayBootCamp: http://twitter.com/search?q=%23EtsyHolidayBootCamp

Update on Team Page

Just so everyone knows I've been submitting names to Etsy to get everyone added to the team page. For some reason I am getting no response. Even my huband is unable to add names to his team "prayersonawire". I know Etsy is currently going through beta testing for the new team formatting etc.

So for the time being if you do not see your name on the "Official Team Page" do not freak out. What counts is that your name is on the blog until Etsy Admin gets everything straightened out.

Reminder: Don't forget about this months blog giveaway! Plus the new 3 month challenge and the Charity Event for Project Linus hosted by http://www.crochetgal.etsy.com/

Thanks a bunch!

Melissa

LLsCreations83 Feature!

I feel this amigurumi represents because he is the culmination of everything I've learned since starting my adventure with amigurumis one year ago. All the techniques i've learned through trial and error have led me here. I'm a huge fan of fantasy/sci-fi/comic movies and books, Doctor Who is just the latest in characters who have caught my eye. This doll was originally a request, and through researching the character and what makes him tick, made him my own.

PlattCrafts Feature!

I've been crocheting since about age 11. Mostly I made afghans and blankets. When I started making hats for my kids and my nieces and nephews, the hats got so many comments while we were out and about I thought I would attempt an online shop.
I think this hat represents me because it it original and fun, and is inspired by family. My daughter (age 5) was going through a "my favorite colors are yellow and brown" phase and she gave me explicit instructions on how to make her hat. This hat was inspired by the one I made for her.

adorkable1 Feature!

My name is Rebecca and I started out crocheting when my grandmother taught me. I was 8 and I crocheted potholders and necklaces. But since then I've learned a lot and I started my shop because of my love for fashion and crocheting. Now I have a baby girl and I have been really into designing things for her. So my item for this challenge is a mash-up of my love for fashion, and my obsession with baby things. It's a baby dress!! It is so modern and chic, and my daughter, Chloe, looks adorable(and adorkable) in it! She has one of her own, of course. I had so much fun designing it, and am completely excited about the finished product. I am even selling the pattern in my shop, as well!

Crochetandmore Feature!

Ok. Finally decided on my challenge piece. Here it is...

http://www.etsy.com/listing/54944389/flapper-style-strawberry-beanie

I chose this piece because it shows how I try to be different in my crochet offerings (like these -

http://www.etsy.com/listing/52401049/ the-original-pencil-scarf-small-size)

and the painted on seeds also incorporate a little from my other shop where I custom decorate children's clothes at http://www.roseprintsonline.etsy.com/
Hope ya like it!!

P.S. Thank you for all your work with the team!!!!!

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to let you all know how excited I am that we have grown and built relationships with one another in a months time. Each one of you have made this team well worth the effort.

Since September is around the corner I wanted to remind those who are new or have not taken the survey to please do so. I want to send out a monthly newsletter for this coming month. If you'd prefer you can send me your e-mail address in a convo. I'll be annoucing the next contest and all the new info in the newsletter so you're not going to want to miss out!

A special thanks to Crochetgal for volunteering to be our coordinator for the Project Linus Charity Event!

If anyone has any thoughts, comments, or suggestion my mail box is always open so feel free to send me a line. I always want to hear what you all would like to see this team become!

Thanks again to everyone!

AnythingCrochet Feature!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/54736912/crocheted-childrens-pullover-hoodie
Hi! I'm Jennifer. I am a self-taught crocheter and have been at it now for almost 7 years. I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. That's my full-time job. Crocheting is just a hobby that I hope will help pay a few bills along the way. :) I live in Delaware with my hubby and 4 sons (that's right, I said 4!) and of course, our dog. Our oldest son is 4 years old and our youngest is 2 months old; so needless to say, I have my hands full - and I LOVE (practically) every minute of it. ;) And how DO I find the time to crochet, you ask? Frankly, I'm not sure! LOL! When I was in college, I actually majored in fashion design, and although I usually work from written crochet patterns, I am now discovering the joy of designing my own pieces.

The reason I chose this sweatshirt as my "signature piece" is that it really fits my personality. I love being creative, and I am a little on the crazy side. I hate making decisions, so there is no sweatshirt more perfect for me than one that uses as many colors as I can dig out of my stash! And my favorite color shades are the bright ones - which also describes my bubbly personality to a "T".

This little turtle just seemed to express exactly how I feel about my crochet work and myself. He's cuddly and fun which is exactly why I love to crochet. Crochet is a creative outlet for me. I work in a high stress job as a Social Worker and love to come home and create something fun that I can share with the world.

I choose to give him the option of changing his shell because it seems that I change when I get to crochet. When I crochet I get to use my imagination and create useful and playful items. I'm also changing my mind on a regular basis and always moving on to the next project.

MidnightSunArt Feature!

Hi everyone! My name is Davy and my shop is MidnightSunArt. My grandmother tried to teach me to crochet when I was a young boy, but I could never get the hang of it. In my freshman year of college I decided to pick up some yarn and a few hooks and try to remember the basics she had taught me and then teach myself the rest. I did that as a way to pass time at the job I had at the time, sitting behind a desk at the campus Residence Halls late at night and early in the mornings. That was four years ago and I've been in love with crochet ever since! I've now all but graduated college and moved to Alaska to start a new life and career.

This set represents me as a crochet artist pretty well. I tend to lean toward muted colors and earth tones, though I use bright colors on occassion. Mostly I love things that garner a sense of wearability and class. I prefer to work in simple stitches, nothing too complicated. While my stitches are usually simple, I do love to experiment with complex patterns and create my own patterns. I love colors that remind me of the woods, the sky, and natural foods.

Thanks for looking and reading my feature! I look forward to seeing more from the rest of our talented team! :-)

Project Linus Charity Event

Crochetgal has kindly stepped forward and will be our coordinator for our first charity event with Project Linus! Below is the information you may need involving this charity and how we intend to help.

Crochetgal said:

"I do quite a bit of work for Project Linus http://projectlinus.org/  , making blankets for kids in crises. However, with the cost of shipping heavy items it may be difficult $$ wise for individuals to ship to a central point for donation.
So what about if team members who wanted to contribute would donate a blanket to the center nearest them? Of course, if there wasn't a center, I can always take them here as well.
Or instead of doing full blankets each, we could do larger (24" x 24") granny squares and I'll collect and assemble them and get them my local chapter.
I don't want to go with the really tiny squares as they are a nightmare to put together.
My partner (also an Etsian) is a Project Linus Blanketeer here in Phoenix as well. He delivers over 100 blankets each month to various locations.

Ok, here's the rundown. We will make Squares (they don't have to be granny squares) but they DO have to be 24" x 24" and they MUST be made from acrylic yarns. NO cottons or wool or wool blend.

I will look after the assembly of the squares and getting them to the local Project Linus chapter.

The squares do NOT have to be any specific colour, but black is NOT recommended. Remember that these are for kids!"

If you do decide to make a blanket to donate locally or a granny square and ask that you take a picture before mailing it off that way we can show our progress on here. This charity event will run from September through the end of November right before the Holidays. This should allow everyone enough time to either get a blanket for square constructed and Crochetgal enough time to assemble.

You are not required to participate but do remember it is for the children.

BeatriceCLaNore Feature!

Meet BeatriceCLaNore! Leave some love people!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/54145372/crochet-embellished-monarch-butterfly

I chose to make a monarch butterfly b/c in third grade my class collected monarch caterpillars and kept watch until they hatched. I've, ever since, collected monarch caterpillars each year. I have a butterfly garden in my yard and butterfly boxes. I love how they grow and change into something beautiful. I think that this process is something we all go through in our own ways and that crocheting has been a very important part of my journey. I'm glad that I've brought my crocheting ability from childhood into my adult life as it has been a great discovery for me. I love to create things with seed beads and I'm addicted to vintage buttons so I used those things to embellish my crochet butterfly. All in all this item describes who I am and defines my shop in that the butterfly signifies my personal growth. Starting as a caterpillar and developing into a butterfly. :-)

Yarrow1 Feature!

Meet Yarrow1! Leave some love!

The roses represent my three grown children that I had the delight to raise.

The oldest one is military man with a few thorns.

The next one, a daughter, is an award winning graphic artist, in full bloom.

Another daughter is a florist in LA, working on all the flowers for the Emmy awards. She has yet to reach her full bloom but is on her way. She is also on etsy.

I have reached my full bloom and have a few petals missing( quite a few).
I have done crochet since being down with Rheumatic Fever at seven. I didn't do much other than chain stitch necklaces for my friends. I was able to get really even stitches because of then.
I love doing many different types of art creations. I mix my art with my love for animals and gardening.

Motherofthree7515 Feature!

Motherofthree7515 Feature! Leave some love people!

I think these hand warmers represent who I am as a person and in my personal style. I enjoyed every moment I spent creating these and will be making a pair for myself to wear in the winter. I love living outside the box and try to express myself through my work in all mediums. I started crocheting about 10 years ago and have just now started to make my own patterns and designs. I love sharing my creations with my three beautiful children and my friends and family.

AAlexandra Feature!

Meet AAlexandra  and her red tote! Leave some love!

I made this last week and I believe this best represents me because I've never made a tote bag like this and just saw pictures and thought to myself.. "hey, I can do that" So I did it. That is definitely my philosophy when it comes to making all the items that I make. I can do anything or at least try.

Milliebelle Feature!

Welcome to the team! Leave some love!

Hello, My name is Sandy and I am Millie's Grammy. I have been actively crocheting for about 5 years making simple single crochet afghans out of Red Heart Light and Lofty for friends and neighbors. My grandaughter Amelia (aka Millie) is the namesake in Millie Moon's Menagerie. In July 2009 when I first found out I was going to be a Grandma I started making crocheted animals for Millie as her nursery was going to be primary colors and animals. I remember my first animal was a bunny and the instructions indicated it should be 7 inches and it ended up 2 feet long. Hey, I gave it my best shot as I had never read a pattern before and only knew single crochet! After that I just kept trying more and more animals with different stitches. They also served as great shower decorations for her baby shower! After she was born I began to try more and more new items such as hats and booties, and then I tried my hand at sweaters. Next thing you knew I became Millie's grandma who makes the sweaters! I've made her many sweater and hat sets with various appliques, strawberries, lollipops, watermelons, and most recently her mommy requested a cupcake which was the inspiration for this sweater and beret combo. I get a couple requests a month for sweaters, but I still love making animals the best and they still end up bigger than the instructions say, but at least now I have learned why!
Thanks for visiting my etsy store!

2CrochetHooks Feature!

Help me in welcoming another mother/daughter team! Leave some love!

We are a mother and daugther team from USA. We both crochet and work on the business together. This venture has helped us grow as crocheters and as a family. We have gotten closer and learned to better work together.
The item we have chosen is a Blue Poison Dart preemie hat. We have chosen this item because it best represents our more wild and daring side. This is the first project I have ever really done without a pattern in front of me and it was due to Mother's awesome inspiration. She likes frogs and thought it would be neat to do a poison dart frog hat instead of the typical hat. I chose preemie because it is a cause I care about. I feel terrible for the poor little babies and think they deserve something fun and exciting in their life. I filled the hat with love and prayers for healthfullness as I do with all the preemie hats we make.

Updates & Charity Event

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to let you all know what a wonderful job you are all doing! Our team is slowly but surely expanding a little everyday!

Keep sending in your August "Meet & Greet" item and convo to me with something about yourself and why you chose that item! So far we have gotten many entries and it has been great getting to know each and everyone of you!

From the surveys it is quite clear that everyone would like a newsletter! If you haven't taken the survey yet just click on the link to the right. If anyone would like to have patterns, techniques etc published in the monthly newsletter please feel free to convo me!

Also from the surveys taken many would be interested in doing a team charity event! This is one thing that I am very excited about! Most would like to be involved in a charity event that item made go to children or babies. I've been doing some research and there are SOOO many charities to choose from which is why I have come to you all. I would like to do something that will be a big help to others in the winter months and during the holidays. If possible, it would be nice to choose a charity that accepts all types of crocheted items: hats, blankets, mittens, dolls, etc. This way everyone in the team has a chance to participate and help in their own way by making something that is them.

Please leave a comment on this blog or send me a convo with what you would suggest. As part of being on this team I really would like to see this be a great team effort!

Thanks a bunch!

Jilliegbeanz Feature!

Help me in welcoming to our team jilliegbeanz! Leave some love!

I decided to go with the coffee wall art as my featured item. It best describes me because I love both fabric and yarn and this was a good combination for me. Why coffee? I'm a very busy mom of three boys who are very busy right now with sports! So it's either coffee or diet coke....lol...I had two grandmothers at a very young age....oh maybe around 7 or 8...teach me how to crochet. Over the past two years I have really gotten back into crocheting a lot! I absolutely love doing it. I tend to have about three projects going at once. I love doing a project and putting all different colors together. I love bright colors!

LetaTn Feature!

Our next feature is from LetaTn! Leave some love!

I chose the acorn treasure pots because I love to crochet small and diverse projects. I am currently a stay at home housewife because the job market is not so good where I live. I started crochet as a way to pass the time and then quickly became obsessed with it! I make sweaters and afgans but my favorites are tiny amigurumis and other small items. I started an etsy shop so I could continue to create without being overrun with projects around the house. And to make a little yarn money!!

AirportSushi Feature!

Let's all welcome AirportSushi to the team! Here is her challenge item!
Be sure to leave some love!

Okay, I started crocheting for fun about a year ago. I'm from Florida and used to work at a certain large theme park with my husband. When I finally became pregnant, we moved to Alabama and I've been on semi-bedrest the whole time because of my heart defect. So I started crocheting like mad to pass the time. When I'm not crocheting, I'm either out on the lake or farm, or hanging out playing video games. I opened my shop last month and my main inspiration is my baby girl.

Salutationscrochet Feature!

Today we are proud to feature salutationscrochet! Be sure to leave some love!

Hello! I'm Charlotte. I live in Northern Utah with my husband and our little girl.
I've been crocheting since I was about ten years old, which is when my mother taught me how. Years earlier, my mother learned the same set of skills from her mother. The funny thing is, when my grandmother was around 80 or so, she had me sit down with her and re-teach her. So, we came full circle.
Crocheting is one of my most enjoyable hobbies. I like the feel of the yarn between my fingers, and I love the way a hand-made blanket, scarf, hat, hairband, or whatever else has a different feel to it than something that is made with more automation. There's a feel of love in handmade articles. I'm grateful for that.
I chose to make this headband for my challenge piece because I absolutely love the color yellow. I love the look of it, I love the feel of it. For me, yellow symbolizes cheer, warmth, sunshine, and joy, all wrapped up into one bright happy color. It's been my favorite for years and years now, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
I've been selling on etsy since the summer of 2009, and have had just a marvelous experience here. I have two shops, one at salutationscrochet.etsy.com and another at charlottelaughs.etsy.com I also have a blog, where I write the adventures and occurrences that happen to me and my little family. That can be found at charlottelaughs.blogspot.com

Team Challenge and New Treasury

OK so we're going to try this and see how it goes. We're going to do a team challenge! You can choose to participate if you want. It's meant to be fun for those who are itching for something more to do. So the challenge starts today and ends August 31st. One whole month!

The theme for this challenge is "Who are you?". The idea is to make something that tells each member what you're all about. What is your "thing" that makes crocheting fun. Make an item that represents you and your shop. This is meant to be a way to get to know each other better and see the different talents amongst our group. This is meant to be easy since everyone is constantly making items for there shop.

The item needs to be a new item that has been listed between today's date and August 31st. Once you have made and picked the item you think best represent "Who you are" then please post the link in the forum for everyone to see or convo me the link. Please use the team tag for this entries.

Each person who enters an item will be featured on the blog. One person will be posted per day if we have multiple entries. As the items are submitted they will be posted. For those who do participate have a little something written up about why you make what you do and what inspires you. This is kind of a show and tell. LOL! The challenge starts NOW!

On another note please check out this awesome treasury made of team items created by pipistrellecrochet: http://www.etsy.com/treasury/4c52840bb52b8eef9f7d3e3f/crochet-dreamers

It's Official!

I just got word that we are now officially an Etsy Team! Here is the link on the team page!

http://team.etsy.com/viewteam.php?id=892

If you do not see your name on there don't worry I'll get it added!

Another important bit of info that I've been told is that our tag needs to have the word "Team" in it in order for Etsy to help promote us. So with a suggestions from yvonnebabyboutiques the new tag to use is "crochetdreamteam" (one Word)

SO EXCITING! Who's ready to PARTY!

Who is Excited?!

We are now at 33 members and growing fast! I know I'm excited!

I posted the facebook and forum (chit chat) links on the right side under "Team Links" for easy access.

I'm still waiting to hear from Morgan about being "official" and having our own Team Page. When I find out I'll let you all know!

Feel free to refer friends to join and make team treasuries! If some items are tagged "crochetdreamers" it will be easier to find team items to show off.

For those of you who want to start some fun I would like to get ideas as to what you want to do. Feel free to comment here, the forum, or convo me personally with ideas! Let the fun begin! Once we get some ideas I'll post a poll here for people to vote on what they would like to do first. We have a very creative bunch on this team and that is easy justified by the items in their shops. Look forward to hearing (or seeing) some of your ideas!

Thanks,

Melissa

We're on our way!

I've submitted the application and team info to Morgan ( Etsy Admin) for approval. As soon as we are a finalized team I'll be sure to let you all know. We have over 10 members already! How exciting is that?! I had our banner custom made and I feel that is describes us perfectly. What do you think? I'm working to get a team avatar so we can post the image of our team where ever we want so show how proud we are! I've listed the team members on the right hand side. Let me know if I missed anyone! I changed the color selection on the blog to match our banner. Is everyone cool with it? I like to get feedback!

I've listed both of our team avatars on the right. You can use them in a picture on your listings or post the avatar on your blog so people know you're apart of this team! If you need the image e-mailed to you let me know.

Thank you to everyone who has joined! I want to make this the best crochet team ever! Once we get approved let the games begin! LOL!

While we wait I made an Etsy Forum http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6585887 so everyone can meet up and get to know one another!

What we are all about as a Team

The idea behind this crochet team is to belong to a community of fellow crocheters and have no worries as to meeting certain guidelines. I want everyone to feel welcome here. You can be as active as you wish. I do realize that people have lives outside of Etsy and this group is here to accommodate for that purpose. Some of you may be more active and for those we will have fun events planned throughout the year. Others can pop in from time to time as they wish with no fears of being booted. The only reason for anyone to get booted from the team is for breaking Etsy's rules which include etiquette. I am hoping to plan contests/challenges for people to participate. If Etsy allows us a team grant I intend to have prizes! More than likely those prizes will consist of what we crocheters love best: yarn. LOL! If you like the sound of this then Welcome to Crochet Dreamers! Contact FreemanCraftsFabrics.etsy.com to join our wonderful team!

NutshellFarms- said "Later on it might be nice to do some features of members items. That way people can see what everyone is working on. Maybe even a spot for tutorials or patterns that people can share with one another. This is all in the future of course once everything is up and running."

I totally agree! This may help give those interested a idea of what we are planning.  Thanks!

Also if you choose, you can tag your items "crochetdreamers" and find team items.

Welcome!

This is so exciting! We are currently gathering members and ideas so get this team official through etsy. This will be the official team blog site. Any updates or news will be posted here.

With everyone's input we were able to come up with "Crochet Dreamers" as our team name. Now the tag line is a different story. I've sent everyone a message to put it to a vote.

1) Creating Handmade Dreams
2) Our Dreams Handmade

I'm currently in the process of getting a team banner and avatar made. I'd love to take ideas about backgrounds, themes, color skeme? Let me know!
